SUMMARY:Larry Keel's Electric Larry Land
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Prog Rock / Progressive Country / Americana / Psychedelia \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $20 in advance / $25 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult)  \nHeadliner: Larry Keel’s Electric Larry LandSupporting Artist: To be announced \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nLarry Keel is an award-winning innovative flatpicking guitarist and singer/songwriter hailing from Appalachia and currently residing in historic Lexington\, VA. Raised in a musical family steeped in the mountain culture of the region\, Keel began from an early age to forge a distinctive sound\, taking bluegrass and classic country music and infusing those styles with a rock edge and elements of improvisational jazz. With the acoustic guitar Keel has brought the flatpicking form to its highest level of sophistication and sonic power with his muscular yet refined style of playing. As a songwriter with a catalog of nearly 100 original compositions\, Keel integrates raw honesty and charming grit to create music filled with reality\, imagination\, imagery and vibe. He has appeared on over 20 albums\, 12 of which he produced\, and has written songs that have been recorded and performed by distinguished artists including Grammy-award winners Del McCoury and The Infamous Stringdusters. \nHe has performed at iconic venues including Tokyo Disney\, Carnegie Hall\, Town Hall NYC\, Red Rocks Amphitheater\, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass\, LOCKN\, High Sierra Music\, Bonnaroo\, Del Fest\, Hulaween\, and countless more. He has inspired and merged creative forces with some of the greatest artists in modern roots music such as Tyler Childers\, Billy Strings\, Greensky Bluegrass\, Keller Williams and Sam Bush\, to name a few. Keel is revered by critics at Relix\, JamBase\, Bluegrass Today\, No Depression\, AXS\, and Rolling Stone\, who dub him “one of the finest flatpickers around” and describe his unparalleled live performance “taking songs up a notch with psychedelic hillbilly shredding.” While C-ville Weekly claims\, “Keel is doing for bluegrass what Hendrix did for rock\, what Miles did for jazz- exploring the unchartered possibilities\, defying the limitations of a deeply established musical form.” \nThe entergetic and interstellar project\, “Electric Larry Land” presents Keel’s simultaneously gritty and suave original music applied to an electric format\, creating what he calls a “sonic groove-and-vibe machine”. With this unit\, Keel gives rein to his innate drive to expand his songs and playing style with this high-powered\, highly creative and highly accomplished 4-piece band comprised of electric guitar\, acoustic guitar\, bass and drums. It’s dynamic Acoustic Rock at its finest. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. TIMB originated in 2014 and has 4 EPs and plans to release a full length in 2025. The band leans toward the Deathcore genre\, and also experiments with other sub-genres\, such as slam and hardcore. Bands such as The Acacia Strain\, Whitechapel\, Spite\, and Bodysnatcher have influenced TIMB’s sound and songwriting. \nAt the beginning of 2019\, the band found a consistent lineup\, and decided to get back to work in the studio. In the winter of 2019\, the band began working with Jack Daniels at Sick Tones Studios in Cape Girardeau\, Missouri (War of Ages\, Summoning the Lich\, Cohen). \nOnce the coronavirus pandemic hit in early 2020\, TIMB started making plans to release the EP (Gomorrah) in 2021. The concept for the album came after the band wanted to take the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah and make modern comparisons to society’s downfall. Gomorrah touches on cults\, religion\, and other forms of worship that people blindly follow. After experimenting with darker tones and more abrasive sounds\, the band feels that Gomorrah pushed their songwriting in a more mature direction. \nIn 2025 and 2026 the band is more eager than ever to release new music\, new tours & new merchandise \nPiss NukeQC Pissgrind consists of Flagrant Bowel on Guitar\, Urineheimer on Bass and Piss Wrist on Drums \nSoul DevourSoul Devour is a crabcore band blending early 2010s chaos with a modern edge – breakdowns\, synths\, and unfiltered emotion. Drawing influence from the peak crabcore era without getting stuck in it\, the band delivers high-intensity tracks packed with grit\, energy\, and purpose. \nFormed by Dominic Godsil\, Matt Harvey\, Ryan Sackfield\, Reese Branch\, and Devon Hurley\, Soul Devour is carving out their place in the heavy scene with raw energy and zero pretense. Their debut single\, “Sand is Overrated\, it’s Just Tiny Little Rocks\,” marks the beginning of something loud. \nFor fans of swinging low\, jumping high\, and screaming louder \nIntegumentDeath Metal / MySpace Deathcore from the Quad Cities consisting of Alex Serio on Vocals\, Nate Wulf and Aaron Swanson on Guitar\, Brock Cornett on Bass Guitar and Shawn Wulf on Drums \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Americana  \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $17 in advance / $20 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nHeadliner: Chicago Farmer & The FieldnotesSupporting Band: Logan Springer & The Wonderfully Wild \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE BAND \nWhen taking on the moniker Chicago Farmer\, singer-songwriter Cody Diekhoff aimed to not only showcase the dichotomy of his life and travels — growing up in the tiny Illinois farm community of Delavan\, and calling “The Windy City” home for several years — he also wanted to honor his past through his uplifting\, introspective melodies. \n“My hometown kind of goes with me wherever I go\,” Diekhoff says. “All the things I learned from my grandparents\, I take that with me wherever I go. They’re always in my heart and in my mind.” \nWhich is why Diekhoff’s latest offering\, Homeaid\, puts a spotlight on the old soul nature and deep ethos of compassion and camaraderie that resides at the core of his being. A blend of Americana\, indie-folk and roots-rock\, the album swirls effortlessly into the ether of a modern world facing uncertain times. \n“Home is where the art is/Home is where there’s song\,” Diekhoff erupts on the title track. “It hits you the hardest/When you’re away from home too long.” \n“If anything\, I want my music to be genuine and authentic\,” Diekhoff says. “My grandfather was a storyteller. He was a veteran\, a family farmer\, and he just collected stories. Hearing him tell all these stories definitely transferred over into my storytelling that’s in my music.” \nMeandering through Homeaid\, there are odes to teenage transgressions in the name of irresponsible enlightenment (“Tina Hart’s Mustang”)\, odes to the splendor and tragedy of growing older (“Sorry You’re Sick”)\, odes to nothing and everything (“Mattress”) — the cultivation of which being Diekhoff and his curious life\, one remaining in perpetual motion\, onstage and on the road. \n“People come to watch it run when the sun went down/To raise a glass as it passed and hoist up the crown\,” Diekhoff howls into the heavens. “Yeah\, Tina Hart’s Mustang was the fastest car around.” \nWith Homeaid\, it’s this true sense of self that’s felt when it comes to those cherished faces and vivid moments from your own past. Images\, sounds\, and feelings conjured with ease\, usually while cruising down some backcountry road\, windows rolled down\, the sunshine of another bountiful day slowly falling below the horizon\, the unknown night quickly emerging — this crossroads of sheer gratitude and endless inspiration. \n“This is who I am now\,” Diekhoff says of Chicago Farmer. “I represent both of these places\, and I take a lot of pride in ownership of the name now.” \n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Anthony Gomes
DESCRIPTION:**This show is sold out. There will not be tickets available at the door.** \nGenre: Blues Rock  \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pm\nTickets: $28 in advance / $35 at the door \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.\nAge Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nWith a guitar slung over his shoulder and the amps turned up full tilt\, Anthony Gomes electrifies blues and rock at a 21st century crossroads of his own. The Canadian vocalist\, guitarist\, songwriter and producer wails with all the force of a hurricane in the Mississippi Delta and enough fret-burning fireworks to leave his strings in flames. Over the years\, he’s toppled the Billboard Blues Chart at #1\, earned the endorsement of legends such as B.B. King\, tallied tens of millions of streams\, and packed shows on multiple continents. In April 2025\, Anthony Gomes is back with his much-anticipated 14th studio album\, Praise the Loud\, set for release on Rat Pak Records. \n“I’ve learned how to embrace my voice as a guitarist and as a singer\,” he states. “I understand who I am\, and I use my strengths to my advantage. I have a blues soul and a rock ‘n’ roll heart. I love to jump back and forth between both with a modern day approach. When I play rock\, it’s got a little more dust on it.” \nBorn and raised in Toronto\, Ontario\, he fell in love with music as a kid\, listening to everyone from Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix to Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. At 14 years old\, Anthony gravitated to the guitar and his relationship with the instrument was born. After grinding it out\, his chops caught the attention of B.B. King’s bus driver at a jam night. Blown away\, the driver introduced him to B.B. who invited him to open up a string of tour dates in 2005. Gaining invaluable knowledge from “The King\,” he went on to share the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy\, Robert Plant\, Joe Bonamassa\, Heart\, Sammy Hagar\, Kenny Wayne Shepherd\, and more. Along the way\, his concert attendees have included Academy® Award winner Morgan Freeman\, John Goodman\, and Vince Vaughn as well as Eric Clapton\, to name a few. \n2022’s High Voltage Blues vaulted to #1 on the iTunes Top Blues Albums Chart\, #1 on Amazon Music’s New Release Blues Chart and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues chart. It remained on the Billboard Blues chart for 58 consecutive weeks\, landing on ‘Billboard’s Top 15 Blues Albums of the Year’ for both 2023 and 2024. \nMeanwhile\, Total Guitar listed Gomes as ‘One of the 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time’ in 2024. Guitar World readers voted him one of “The 30 Best Blues Guitarists in the World Today” in 2019\, and the publication noted\, “Gomes is another power player who is at his best when his gear is in the scorched earth between blues and rock.” \nAnthony’s latest release\, 2025’s Praise the Loud\, delivers 12 fresh studio tracks that showcase Anthony’s musical evolution while staying true to the no-holds-barred sound that has earned him a global fanbase. \nReflecting on the new album\, Anthony shares\, “On Praise the Loud\, we pushed our musical boundaries in every direction. We wanted it to rock harder than anything we’ve done before\, but at the same time\, we wanted it to have a deeper\, more soulful blues feel. When people ask me what I sound like\, I say\, ‘If B.B. King was in AC/DC\, that’s what it would be’. That’s Praise The Loud in a nutshell.” \nGomes cites the track ‘Rock & Roll Bluesman’ as the thesis of the album. “My favorite line on the album comes from the song ‘Rock & Roll Bluesman’: ‘I don’t care if they love or hate us\, gonna turn it up so they won’t forget us.’ That lyric captures the spirit of the album—declaring that we’re playing blues rock on our own terms\, no matter what.” \nFrom the powerful rhythms of the album opener “Praise the Loud” to the ZZ Top-inspired groove of “Netflix & Chill\,” Anthony tackles a range of emotions and topics with his signature blend of layered harmonies\, infectious rhythms\, and blues-infused grooves. Tracks like “Meet My Maker\,” “Black Diamond Heavy\,” and “Electric Blues Crusade” highlight his ability to stretch his creative boundaries and expand his lyrical scope\, while songs like “Love Song Gone Wrong” and “In the Name of the Blues” showcase his unmistakable blues guitar mastery. Produced by Peter Carson/Anthony Gomes and mixed by Chris Collier\, Praise the Loud packs the punch and energy fans have come to expect from this world-class blues artist. \nIn the end\, Anthony Gomes is just the kind of guitar hero we need for today. \n“I still believe in a world of guitar heroes\,” he smiles. “I strive for a world where you don’t have to be 19 years old to sell a lot of records and tickets and to make a statement. I’m one of those people who doesn’t think rock\, or the blues is dead. I’m looking for fresh ways to bring them together. I’m at the table rolling the dice all in the name of blues and rock ‘n’ roll. I know there’s never been a more exciting time for music\, and I’m here for the journey.” \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:The Ben Rosenblum Trio & Laura Anglade
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Bix Beiderbecke Museum & Common Chord. \nGenre: Jazz  \nDoors: 3:00pm / Show: 4:00pmTickets: $12 in advance / $15 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nFrench/American singer Laura Anglade is reminiscent of many of the great traditional vocal stylists of the 20th century\, but her voice is uniquely her own. As she digs emotionally and eloquently into a lyric\, her story-telling abilities portray a soul beyond her years. \nHer debut release\, ‘I’ve Got Just About Everything’ (Justin Time Records\, 2019) saw the vocalist\, along with her quintet\, fearlessly plunging headlong into a wide range of material drawn from both the Broadway stage as well as the Great American Songbook. On her Juno-nominated sophomore recording\, ‘Venez Donc Chez Moi’ (Justin Time Records\, 2022)\, Laura teams up with Montreal guitarist Sam Kirmayer and New York based accordionist Benjamin Rosenblum on two tracks. It is an homage of sorts; a nod to Laura’s beloved France. The record features French classics made famous by Barbara\, Charles Trenet\, Edith Piaf\, and Michel Legrand to name a few.  \nLaura leads an active international touring schedule and has performed at venues including Olympia (Paris)\, Royal Festival Hall (London)\, Town Hall (New York City)\, the Ace Theatre Hotel (Los Angeles)\,  and the main stage at the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal. She opened for Gregory Porter at the Victoria Jazz Festival (summer 2022)\, and Melody Gardot (fall 2022)\, joining her across the east and west coasts of the US and Europe. She is currently based in Toronto.  \nPianist\, accordionist and composer Ben Rosenblum has traversed a truly unique musical path\, one that has seen him perform alongside world-class musicians across more than twenty music genres and twenty-five countries\, lead bands at prestigious venues across the world\, all while maintaining a signature\, melodic musical voice. Rosenblum’s journey has taken him on tours with Grammy-winning pop artist Rickie Lee Jones\, Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Catherine Russell and Juno-winning contemporary Indian singer Kiran Ahluwalia. He’s played Brazilian choro with Ephrat Asherie Dance and Brazilian forró with The Late Night Show’s Nêgah Santos and famed forró band Forró in the Dark. His roots in jazz have led to an over ten-year relationship with Grammy-winning bassist Curtis Lundy\, performing at festivals alongside jazz luminaries Bobby Watson\, Sean Jones and Warren Wolf. He has appeared with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on accordion\, and as a guest soloist on piano at Carnegie Hall’s Stern-Perelman Auditorium with Maestro Reona Ito’s New York Harmonic Band. Throughout it all\, Rosenblum has always maintained the same priority – to tell a compelling story with his music\, reaching the hearts of his audience and connecting on an emotional\, intellectual and spiritual level.  \nRosenblum brings this wealth and diversity of experiences to his projects as a leader\, overseeing a full tour schedule as a solo artist\, with his trio and most recently\, with his six-piece ensemble\, the Nebula Project. Since his first album as a leader\, Instead (4 stars\, Downbeat Magazine)\, he has since released three follow-up records to critical acclaim\, including favorable reviews in almost every major jazz publication (Downbeat\, All About Jazz\, Jazziz\, JazzTimes\, JazzEd\, NYC Jazz Record\, JazzLife Japan and many more). Across multiple tours in Japan\, Europe\, Canada and the United States\, Rosenblum has brought his bands to perform at some of the world’s most respected music venues\, including Ravinia\, Kuumbwa Jazz Center\, the Library of Congress\, AngraJazz (Terceira Island)\, Bird’s Eye (Basel) and Yokohama’s Himawari-No-Sato Concert Hall. At any given show\, Rosenblum might draw on influences from ten or more countries\, with interests going beyond jazz to include various music traditions from South America\, Eastern Europe\, Ireland\, India\, the Caribbean and the Middle East. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Support for this concert is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Iowa Arts Council\, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Henhouse Prowlers
DESCRIPTION:**Tickets go on sale Friday\, Sept. 26 at 10:00am** \nGenre: Bluegrass \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $20 in advance / $25 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nHenhouse Prowlers \nwww.henhouseprowlers.com \nwww.bluegrassambassadors.org \nWith many of their wildest dreams strung across two decades as an outfit\, the Prowlers’ sight remains fixed on the future.  \nIt’s been 20 years well spent. The kinship between Ben Wright (banjo\, vocals)\, Chris Dollar (guitar\, vocals)\, Jon Goldfine (bass\, vocals)\, and Jake Howard (mandolin\, vocals) is palpable\, the four having traveled to places most would never predict. Using these experiences as a foundation\, there’s truly no limit to where this Chicago-based quartet will go – literally and figuratively.  \nEver constant in the group’s enthralling performances is their ability to showcase their passion for both their craft and our shared humanity. Each member skilled in storytelling\, compelling songwriting and intricate instrumentation\, they offer intrinsic artistic prowess\, fervently building on one another’s raw talent. Reverence for tradition coupled with curiosity and innovation lands the Prowlers in a category difficult to define but explosively intriguing around every bend.  \nTheir latest record\, ‘Unravel\,’ produced by Dark Shadow Recording’s Stephen Mougin (Sam Bush Band) underscores the band’s resistance towards being contained\, some tunes expressing a modern Americana feel with others nodding to classic country and bluegrass standards. On this newest offering\, their trademark four-piece harmonies have only matured in tone and sincerity\, their picking ferocious as ever. It’s a testament to their emboldened status as composers\, walking fine lines and eschewing strict categorization in favor of experimentation and satisfying their inner artistry.  \nThe subject matter largely encircles ever-challenging life on the road\, as well as reflections on war\, personal quests\, the passage of time\, and tremendous loss\, all rounded out by peaks of joy\, lighthearted imagination\, and hearts unburdened. Mirroring their worldly touring reality\, seemingly no terrain is left untraversed. Weathered and worn\, nevertheless brightly shining for all to see\, ‘Unravel’ welcomes the listener as though they were an old companion\, eager to share their intimate stories of years gone by.  \nBut you haven’t really experienced the band until you see them onstage. Audiences can expect to hear tunes from their extensive songbook accompanied by an inspiring narrative and bluegrassy takes on international tunes from their travels\, perhaps even in a language they’ve never heard before.  \nTo date\, the Prowlers have toured 29 countries on 5 continents working with the U.S. State Dept and their own nonprofit\, Bluegrass Ambassadors. The group’s many life-changing encounters with people and musicians across the globe have shaped their worldview and bolstered the bridges they establish between cultures. Through all ages-friendly workshops\, presentations\, and a forthcoming documentary\, they spread the familiarities discovered in unsuspecting corners of the world\, broadcasting what they are certain of: we have more in common than we don’t. Time and time again\, music demonstrates that\, with curiosity towards our fellow humans\, beautiful connections can sprout.  \nFor the Henhouse Prowlers\, the work extends far beyond the stage – they are deeply committed to fostering a more compassionate world. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online.
