SUMMARY:The Arcadian Wild in the Redstone Room
DESCRIPTION:The Arcadian Wild invites you to be present\, let your guard down\, & to share in something deep\, divine\, and communal. The power of music!\n\n\nDoors: 6pm / Show: 7pm \nTickets: $15 in advance / $18 day of show \nHeadliner: The Arcadian Wild \nSupporting Guests: John Cole Born\, Wolfskill & The Wild \nAge Restriction: All ages\, (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nWeb: http://www.thearcadianwild.com/ \nSocial: \nhttps://www.facebook.com/thearcadianwild \nhttps://www.instagram.com/thearcadianwild/ \n \nhttps://music.apple.com/us/artist/the-arcadian-wild/887211512 \nGenre: Americana\, Folk\, Bluegrass \n*** All tickets are general admission. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a seat. *** \n\n\n\nThe Arcadian Wild is a four-piece indie folk/pop group from Nashville\, TN. Led by songwriters Isaac Horn and Lincoln Mick and Bailey Warren on fiddle\, The Arcadian Wild confidently inhabits and explores an intersection of genre\, blending the traditional with the contemporary. Combining elements of progressive bluegrass\, folk\, and formal vocal music\, The Arcadian Wild offer up songs of invitation; calls to come and see\, to find refuge and rest\, to journey and wonder\, to laugh and cry\, to share joy and community and sing along. \nThe band’s 2023 album Welcome marks the start of a captivating new chapter for the genre-bending trio\, who returned to the studio with renewed purpose and insight after devoting the last few years to a series of critically acclaimed singles and EPs. Like much of the band’s catalog\, the album blurs the lines between chamber folk and progressive bluegrass\, drawing on everything from country and classical to pop and choral music with lush harmonies and dazzling fretwork\, but this time around there’s a rawness to the writing\, an embrace of candor and simplicity that cuts straight to the heart of things like never before. The result is perhaps the most arresting collection yet from a band known for its ability to stop listeners dead in their tracks\, an exquisitely beautiful celebration of community\, connection\, and the power of belonging that feels tailor-made for these challenging times. \n\n\nCOMMON CHORD POLICIES: \n*Ticket Disclaimer* \nAll tickets for Common Chord events are sold via Eventbrite and carry applicable transaction fees. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event\, online\, and at the door (subject to availability). SUMMARY:The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band in the Redstone Room at Common Chord
DESCRIPTION:3 makes a party. Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is bringing their pre-Halloween hullabaloo to the Redstone Room at Common in Davenport\, IA\n\n\nWhile they’re only a trio\, the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band deliver a sound that lives up to their name\, with thick\, bass-heavy\, blues-based guitar figures and growling vocals accompanied by muscular but minimal drumming and the metallic percussive scratch of a washboard (making them one of the first rock bands to regularly feature the latter instrument since Black Oak Arkansas). Their style is informed by rural blues\, honky-tonk country\, and the rebellious spirit of rock & roll\, as Reverend Peyton’s raw and wiry guitar figures add texture to their straightforward melodies. \n\n\nDoors: 7pm / Show: 7:30pm \nTickets: $17 in advance / $20 day of show \nHeadliner: Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band \nSupporting Artist: Volores\, Logan Springer & The Wonderfully Wild \nAge Restriction: All ages\, (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nWeb: https://www.bigdamnband.com/ \nYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIp11h1stVlXGnwtFNSfIaA \nGenre: Explosive Front-Porch Blues / “Dance Songs for Hard Times.” \nAll tickets are general admission. SUMMARY:Evening with Keller Williams in the Redstone Room at Common Chord
DESCRIPTION:Keller returns with his whimsical lyrics\, guitar prowess\, & live looping for a Halloween night of alt-folk and groovy electronica!\n\n\nMusical Mad Scientist\, Keller Williams\, returns to the Redstone Room! Keller is best known for his whimsical lyrics\, guitar prowess and for creating samples on the fly in front of the audience\, a technique called live phrase sampling or looping\, with nothing pre-recorded. The end result often leans toward a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronica\, a genre Keller jokingly calls “acoustic dance music” or ADM.” \nCome celebrate Halloween & an evening with Keller Williams; we’re throwing a Kel-O-Ween costume contest with prizes and more! \nDoors: 7pm / Show: 8pm \nTickets: $25 in advance / $30 day of show \nHeadliner: Keller Williams \nAge Restriction: All ages\, (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nOfficial Website: www.KellerWilliams.net \nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/kellerwilliams \nYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/kellerwilliamsmusic \nInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/kellerwilliams/ \nTwitter: https://twitter.com/kellermusician \nSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/5de5W8sgXIMq9dgMR0Wml0?si=I1Q8-PofTxuTSQYc-3Xg9Q \nGenre: Alternative Folk & Groovy Electronica. (a genre Keller jokingly calls “acoustic dance music” or ADM.”) \n*** All tickets are general admission\, for standing room only. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee a seat. *** \n\n\n\n Virginian\, Keller Williams\, released his first album in 1994\, FREEK\, and has since given each of his albums a single syllable title: BUZZ\, SPUN\, BREATHE\, LOOP\, LAUGH\, HOME\, DANCE\, STAGE\, GRASS\, DREAM\, TWELVE\, LIVE\, ODD\, THIEF\, KIDS\, BASS\, PICK\, FUNK\, VAPE\, SYNC\, RAW\, SANS\, ADD\, SPEED\, CELL and GRIT. Each title serves as a concise summation of the concept guiding each project. Keller’s albums reflect his pursuit to create music that sounds like nothing else. Un-beholden to conventionalism\, he seamlessly crosses genre boundaries. The end product is music that encompasses rock\, jazz\, funk and bluegrass\, and always keeps the audience on their feet. Keller built his reputation initially on his engaging live performances\, no two of which are ever alike. For most of his career he has performed solo. His stage shows are rooted around Keller singing his compositions and choice cover songs\, while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar\, bass\, guitar synthesizer and drum samples; a technique called live phrase sampling or “looping”. The end result often leans toward a hybrid of alternative folk and groovy electronica\, a genre Keller jokingly calls “acoustic dance music” or ADM.” Keller’s constant evolution has led to numerous band projects as well; Keller & The Keels\, Grateful Grass\, KWahtro\, Keller and the Travelin’ McCourys\, Grateful Gospel and More Than A Little to name a few. Keller can be found playing clubs and festivals around the U.S. with these projects throughout the year. \n\n\nCOMMON CHORD POLICIES: \n*Ticket Disclaimer* \nAll tickets for Common Chord events are sold via Eventbrite and carry applicable transaction fees. The band’s unabashed synthesis of Squeeze-like nasal whines and Jellyfish‘s idiosyncratic hooks did not gel well with Oceanus’ producer\, so the band returned to their original indie-based inclinations\, which\, by most appearances\, served as a fortunate move for the band. 1999’s Learning Curves began a strong cult following and peculiar music licensing (NBC\, MTV\, the Oxygen Network) while the following year’s Humble Creatures finally showed not only what seemed like a full\, stable lineup (adding Andrew Brock to bass\, Steven Volk to guitars\, and ex-Tripmaster Monkey‘s Marty Reyhons on drums)\, but national media praise as well. ~ Dean Carlson\, Rovi \nCelebrating their newest EP\, “Exit Strategies”. Mixed & Produced by English sound engineer and record producer\, Nick Davis who is best known for his work with the band Genesis (We Can’t Dance\, Calling All Stations\, Genesis Archive 1967-75\, Genesis Archive 2: 1976-1992) \nEinstein’s Sister previous singles release\, “Begin Again / Standing Still” was mastered by Miles Showell of Abby Road Studios. Established in 2010\, Old Shoe has steadily forged the Midwest scene with its organic grooves and growing loyal fanbase.  The band’s humble beginnings started with weekly residencies at local Chicago bars\, and quickly grew to high profile festival appearances at events like Summer Camp and Wakarusa\, and opening slots for artists like Bruce Hornsby and Leftover Salmon.  The band has even produced 12 annual installments of its own festival\, Shoe Fest\, drawing national acts and thousands of attendees from across the country. \n  \nAside from their success in the live music realm\, Old Shoe has also upheld a strong commitment to songwriting and the art of the record.  Made up of talented songwriters hailing from as far away as Alaska\, the band’s compositions paint a diverse landscape of American life.  Old Shoe currently has four full-length albums under its belt\, with a fifth record\, Past the Light\, slated for a December 2023 release. Their 2013 album Family was selected as the Best of 2013 Local Album by AAA radio station\, 93.1FM WXRT.  \n  \nOld Shoe’s music crosses many genres\, from rock to funk\, folk to indie\, but it all lands in a space that is as comfortable as an old shoe.  Over the years\, this comfort has extended to the band’s fanbase\, who have created a strong and welcoming sense of community that keeps both the band and fans marching along together. \n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/oldshoeband \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About Allie Kral \n(Former string player for Yonder Mountain String Band) Allie was a violin performance major at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. It was there when she picked up bluegrass with her first band\, Green Mountain Grass. Her love for bluegrass took her back to Chicago\, where she learned improvisational skills with her decade long dedication to the band Cornmeal. She found jam bands through the Grateful Dead\, and was attracted to the improvisational nature of the music. Now residing in Portland\, Oregon\, Allie has played internationally on thousands of stages with the biggest names in country\, bluegrass\, jam\, classical\, rock\, and more.  \nhttps://www.facebook.com/alliekral \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: *Tickets* Advance tickets are only available online. What does that mean? Nobody is really sure. \nRyan is originally from northern Wisconsin but lived in Texas for 13 years prior to moving to the Quad Cities in 2019.  So Ryan still thinks the cold sucks. \nRyan came to the Quad Cities and told the fellas at corporate the Quad Cities needed a hard rock station.  Shockingly they said OK.  Go for it. \nSo on August 30\, 2019\, I-Rock 93.5 brought back the hard rock the Quad Cities was missing. \nYou can listen to the ramblings of a madman every day from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  That’s when Ryan talks about the latest concerts and I-Rock 93.5 events that you’ll always see him at.  Ryan will also bribe you daily with contests and 54-minute shut-up and rock blocks while you work. \nYou can reach Ryan on all the I-Rock 93.5 social media accounts cause he is the only guy there. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Alborn | Formed in 2016\, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn consists of Justin Taylor [guitar/lead vocals]\, Alex Raser [Drums/vocals]\, Zame Lewis [bass] and Nate Guske [guitar/vocals]. Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains. But\, make no mistake\, Alborn has created something unique\, hard and melodic. \nAlborn released their debut EP\, “Impairative” in 2020. Follow up singles “Full Circle”\, “Cause to Create” and “Hindsight” took them through 2021 and had initial success including Spotify’s “Rock Hard” playlist\, SiriusXM Octane\, Music Choice as well as terrestrial radio rotation. \nThe band went on to play every live show they could\, having huge success in sharing stages with the likes of Shinedown\, Sevendust\, Buckcherry\, Adelitas Way\, Badflower\, Gemini Syndrome\, Plush and others. Entering 2022\, the band was invited to again join Sevendust and Plush on a run of New Year’s shows in the southeast. “It was everything we could have hoped for. Sevendust’s fanbase are true die-hards and they travel all over to see the shows\, so to be welcomed in by them\, especially in 7D’s hometown\, on NYE was surreal.” – Justin Taylor. \nTo round out 2022\, the band buckled down\, did more writing and flew to Las Vegas to work with Chris Collier and James “Fluff” Harley. This dynamic production duo was fresh off working with Korn on their ‘Requiem’ album. There\, Alborn recorded 3 songs\, ‘Push’\, ‘Learn to Live’ and ‘Even Numbers’. These 3 songs are being packaged with a 4th song\, ‘Ten Times’ (recorded with Morgan Rose and Jose Urquiza) to form the EP\, “Push”\, which the band will put out through Pavement Entertainment (Sony / The Orchard) on 2/24/23. \nIn March 2023\, Alborn hit the road for 18 days providing direct support to Powerman 5000 while Alborn’s new single\, “Push” started at radio. The single has been a big hit\, even charting on Billboard’s Top 40 for Mainstream Rock. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Discrepancies | the Rap/Rock band out of St. Louis\, have formed an undeniably powerful and fresh sound. Comprised of Garrett Weakley (Bass)\, Brandon Bollinger (Guitar/Vocals)\, Marc Lyle (Drums)\, Antonio Metcalf (Vocals)\, and Addison Bracher (Guitar/Vocals)\, the band has a unique take on Rap/Rock incorporating heavy riffs\, soaring choruses\, and breakdowns with deep lyricism and real hip hop elements. \nIn January 2018\, Discrepancies signed to InVogue Records. They released “The Awakening” in March of 2018 and had over a million streams in the first week. The album had a strong release with the single “Not Alone” having a massive impact with the audience. “The Awakening” landed on Billboard charts peaking at #32 Alt New Artist and #108 Top New Artist and was featured in Alternative Press\, Metal Injection\, and more. In summer of 2018 the band played the Final Vans Warped Tour and followed it up with multiple short tours throughout the USA as well as Rock USA the following year. \nIn 2020 Discrepancies geared up for another album release only for the industry to shut down around the global pandemic. In January of 2020\, the band dropped their #1 single “Control” which still is the fastest growing single for the band and has since reached north of 3.5 million streams on Spotify alone. The band dropped 4 more singles in support of the album\, with hopes of the pandemic subsiding. “The Rise” released in October of 2020\, and was a big stepping stone for the band in terms of musical growth and development as a second LP. \nAlready in 2023\, the band has been touring heavily and is gearing up for their newest EP release with Invogue Records. They recorded the newest EP with Andrew Wade\, and feel it’s some of their strongest material to date. Their single “Recovery” is building at Rock Radio as well as on the Streaming platforms. Discrepancies have already played this year with Wolves At The Gate\, Catch Your Breath & Until I Wake. They have an upcoming tour with and then Outline In Color & VRSTY as well. They are gearing up for a busy touring schedule\, and have their sights set on taking their music to as many people as possible. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Arson City | Is a 5 piece rock band based out of Omaha\, NE that formed in late July of 2013 and has started out with some true fire right out of the gate.  Arson City is not just a musical project…. It is an all out concept and vision\, with each member of the band portraying their own character within the fictional landscape of Arson City\, as well as the supporters of the project\, known as the “Citizens”.  The Mayor\, The Doctor\, The Dealer\, The Con and The Enforcer makeup the basis of the project\, but Arson City is much more than just that.  Filled with violence\, greed\, corruption\, and a constant struggle within itself to maintain hope for those have none…. Each performance builds strength to those who need it\, and revenge for those seeking it.  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Five AM | This Illinois based 4 piece isn’t your average pop-punk band. With an insatiable desire to push the limits between rock\, hip hop\, R&B\, and pop; this band unapologetically delivers catchy hooks soaked in liquid cool melodies. Known by their growing fanbase for their fun\, energetic live performances; it’s no doubt this band will be landing on your daily playlist for good. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: *Tickets* Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears with special guest Shane Guerrete in the Redstone Room at Common Chord
DESCRIPTION:Genre: American Blues\, Funk & Soul \nRecommended If You Like:  Rick James\, James Brown\, Howlin Wolf\, JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound\, Dan Auerbach\, Gary Clark Jr. \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8pm \nTickets: $22 in advance / $25 day of show \nHeadliner: Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears \nSupporting Guest: Shane Guerrette \nSeating: General admission. Sonically inspired by the Hill Country blues\, cowpunk\, and southern soul of Stax\, the album charts new territory with a heavy stream of lyrical consciousness. \nEmbodying a deep repertoire of sounds and drawing from: the heavy grooves of Albert King\, the punked-up blues of R.L. Burnside\, the storytelling of Bobby “Blue” Bland\, and the soulfully layered horns of the Stones. \nNo one sound holds more weight than the next; all are all omnipresent throughout. When asked\, Lewis says he wanted to “make a more complex and reflective record” than he had before. Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears traverse a lifetime of physical and metaphysical experiences characterized by self reflection and conscious decision making\, prompting difficult questions and responding honestly. One thing is clear: Lewis pulls off a rare feat\, creating an informed\, “real blues” record. \nContinue Reading Bio. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES:*Tickets*Advance tickets are only available online. Traversing time travel\, palindromic labyrinths\, and binary pairs in a greater cohesive mystery\, Dopapod’s latest self-titled album ties the conceptual ends of the group’s discography\, while charting a path forward.  \nThe group’s hypnotic hybrid of funk\, rock\, jazz\, bluegrass\, and electronica has packed shows coast-to-coast\, and earned acclaim from Rolling Stone\, Guitar World\, Glide Magazine\, and more\, while reeling in millions of streams online. Their immersive\, expansive vision as a group continues to conjure alchemy nearly fifteen years into their journey as they tour and record through 2023. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Supporting Artist: DIZGO \n\n“DIZGO has one of the most operative names in the jam band scene\, evoking a transcendence of genre: a dizzier disco\, filled with a hodge-podge of genres\, styles\, and technical influences while still\, at it’s core\, a dance party” – Space TapesDizgo redefines the live experience by blending jamtronica with funk\, deep-groove soul\, and psychedelic rock\, taking the audience on a musical journey that includes intricate compositions and extended improvisation. The result is something both danceable and introspective: soulful vocals\, interweaving analog synths and shredding guitar all of which join forces under the banner of Dizgo. The band has played stand-out performances at festivals such as Peach Music Festival\, Summer Camp Music Festival\, Resonance Music Festival\, Werk Out Music Festival\, Sonic Bloom Music Festival\, and much more and has supported acts such as Goose\, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic\, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong\, Papadosio\, The Main Squeeze\, Aqueous\, Lespecial\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Supporting Artist: THE TEXTURES \n\nBased out of the Quad Cities Area\, The Textures are a six-piece band including Kelsey Lillion [Vocals]\, Justin Behn [Guitar]\, Ben Kays [Guitar]\, Justin “Fish” Fisher [Bass]\, Logan “Frog” Farber [Keyboards]\, and Kyle Goldsmith [Drums]. Their sound can be described as a convergence of different influences\, hearkening back to the eras of psychedelia\, funk\, disco\, rock n’ roll\, soul\, and much more. \nThe band’s mission is to craft diverse songs\, both written and improvisational\, which break the boundaries that separate musical genres. The 2020 release of their debut album\, Self Textured\, gave the group a taste for sharing their original music. Releasing their second studio album\, Shapes and Colors in May of 2023\, with their 3rd album on the way and set to release in 2024\, all while gearing up for another summer of live performances! \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: *Tickets* Advance tickets are only available online.
