SUMMARY:The Martin Sexton Abbey Road Show
DESCRIPTION:THE MARTIN SEXTON ABBEY ROAD SHOW \n Martin Sexton puts his signature style on his rendition of this iconic Beatles album combining what Rolling Stone calls his “soul-marinated voice” with his inventive guitar prowess.   \n We are all invited to Come Together to experience these brilliant songs celebrated in such a compelling reimagined way.  \n Genre: Singer-Songwriter \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $39.50 in advance / $45 at the door \nSeating: All-seated show. All admission includes seating\, which is first-come\, first-served unless you purchase a reserved table.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTIST \n“The best live performer I’ve ever seen. I may just quit my job and go follow Martin and make a fuss everywhere I go\, just to make sure that people don’t go their lives without hearing this man sing to them.” – John Mayer \n“His unpretentious heartiness helps him focus on every soul singer’s goal: to amplify the sound of the ordinary heart.” – The New York Times \nAmerica comes together in the music of Martin Sexton. Our hearts mend\, our political and philosophical differences melt away\, and the various strains of our roots music entangle. \nSexton has remained true to his mission of sharing peace and harmony throughout his 10 albums\, and in countless incendiary live performances. He has thus built a loyal following of fans\, including critics and superstar artists. He is without a doubt what Billboard calls: “The real thing.” \nThese days\, people are coming together to revel in Sexton’s musicality for his Martin Sexton Abbey Road Show. This is a live show extravaganza in which he performs the iconic Beatles’ album in its entirety followed by a set of mainly original music. Currently\, Sexton is also working on his 11th album\, which will be his first full-length album in 10 years. \nSexton is a songwriter’s songwriter\, with a multi-octave voice that knows no bounds. Acoustic Guitar Magazine calls him a: “Master of dynamics\, reducing a room to silence with his blustering baritone\, then teasing that silence with a fluttering falsetto.” \nSexton’s career in music has unfolded like the stories in one of his sweetly redemptive songs. He got his start busking on streets and performing at open mics. Since then\, he has gone on to be praised by modern legends such as John Mayer and Dave Matthews\, who calls him one of his favorite singer-songwriters. Sexton’s songs of grappling and gratitude were the soundtrack to John Mayer’s early gigging years\, and made an indelible impact on the budding songwriter. Mayer says: “This is the music of my LIFE.” \nSexton has headlined venues from The Fillmore to Carnegie Hall\, and his songs have appeared in television series such as Scrubs\, Parenthood\, Masters of Sex\, and in numerous films. His dynamically emotive live show has earned him critical raves and an engaged and loyal following. The Wall Street Journal says: “Mr. Sexton as an impassioned performer can bring women and men to tears when they see him live.” \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. All members of Bayati came together through their membership in the Traditional Music Society of Kansas City\, a non-for profit aimed at providing music and dance classes and showcases to the community\, and care about the core values of sharing these musical and dance traditions with the public. For Bayati\, music and dance act as a way to build community and come together. Drumming and dance traditions in these cultures act as a way to form bonds and share experiences. SUMMARY:EXTC - XTC's Terry Chambers & Friends
DESCRIPTION:Common Chord & Ragged Records Present… \nSponsored by Planet 93.9 \nEXTC – XTC’s Terry Chambers & FriendsNorth American Cushty Tour 2025 \n Genre: New Wave / Post-Punk \n Doors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $25 in advance / $30 at the door \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nEXTC – XTC’s Terry Chambers & FriendsNorth American Cushty Tour 2025 \nTERRY CHAMBERS – drums STEVE HAMPTON – lead vocals\, guitarTERRY LINES – bass guitar\, vocals \nFor almost four decades XTC fans could only dream of witnessing the sensational XTC classic songbook played live. That dream has now become a reality. XTC’s legendary drummer Terry Chambers is back on the road with his band EXTC. This is the only touring band featuring original members performing the XTC music in 40+ years! \nEmerging out of the post-punk and new-wave explosion of the late 70s XTC experienced global success touring with the likes of The Police and Talking Heads. The band put their hometown of Swindon UK on the map. They achieved huge success in North America and Japan. Sadly their legions of loyal fans would be left in limbo when in 1982 XTC stopped touring becoming a studio-based entity. \nBorn in early 2019\, EXTC would set out to achieve its goals of performing to audiences who had waited so long to hear the EXTC back catalogue performed live only to be bought to a standstill in 2020 due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. \nThe band eventually began gigging again in 2021 with sold-out dates around the UK. The band would go on to do further successful tours of the United States and Canada\, with EXTC also heading to Japan in early 2023. EXTC has kept much of the original fan base from XTC’s glory days of the late 70s and early 80s as well as gaining a new following of fans in their own right. Enthusiastic fans have lapped up the chance to see Terry and EXTC perform all those classics live once more.Alongside Terry the EXTC line-up features frontman Steve Hampton (lead vocals & guitar – Joe Jackson\, The Vapors and Dead Crow Road) and Terry Lines (bass & vocals – The Rams and Dead Crow Road). \nTerry\, Steve\, and Terry bring you the full EXTC experience with their mesmerising and engaging live performances as you relive the heyday of XTC. With new material already in the works\, EXTC is a band on an upward trajectory. With their popularity gaining momentum and international tour schedules increasing\, it is clear the sky is the limit for Terry Chambers and EXTC! A brand new live album will be released by a US-based record label on Friday\, April 4\, 2025. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:"Fillmore East & West" - The Beaker Brothers Band
DESCRIPTION:“FILLMORE EAST & WEST”The Beaker Brothers Band playsAllman Brothers & Santana \nGenre: Rock/Blues – Allman Brothers & Santana Tributes  \nDoors: 6:00pm / Show: 7:00pmTickets: $15 in advance / $20 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Now\, we’re going back to where the jam bands came from\, to the time when rock\, blues\, jazz and Latin music met and grew into our inspiration. Call it what you want – post-psychedelic\, proto-alternative\, protest music (we like that one)\, retro\, southern-progressive-hippie rock\, whatever — you can bet that great bands like Phish and Moe and Umphrey’s McGee would still be punching the clock at their day jobs without the contributions of Jimi\, Eric\, Carlos\, Duane\, Jerry … and Clyde. \nThe Beaker Brothers Band isn’t a nostalgia act or a tribute show. We’re playing music that has been in our heads and our hearts since we first heard it. It’s music of the night from Back in the Day\, played by guys who are as awed by it now as when we were driving home from a gig in 1969 and suddenly pulled off the road on a hilltop ’cause Clyde was blowing our minds again\, and we couldn’t get the signal down in the valley. \nThis is not your father’s rock band. No\, wait\, maybe it is. Anyway\, we’re sure you’re gonna dig it. \nJoin the Beaker Brothers Band for a joyride from the Summers of Love — it’ll be really groovy. \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Nefesh Mountain
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Progressive Americana / Bluegrass \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $15 in advance / $18 at the door \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \n“A Powerhouse Unit” – Rolling Stone \n“Introspective lyrics and world class musicianship” – American Songwriter \nThe New York based Progressive Americana group Nefesh Mountain Band has been hailed as one of the formative boundary-pushing ensembles in roots music. The band’s creators and dynamic husband and wife team of Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff have created a world and sound all their own; blurring the lines between Americana\, Bluegrass\, Folk\, Jazz and Blues with a masterful hand as songwriters\, instrumentalists and composers alike. The band takes the listener on a deeply personal journey that embodies their own wild nature and unbridled free spirits\, bridging compositional prowess and prolific songwriting with deft instrumentals and jams. \nSince their formation nearly a decade ago\, Nefesh Mountain has been proudly open and vocal about their background and heritage as Jewish Americans\, and are among the first preeminent Americana / Bluegrass bands to infuse Jewish tradition and soul into the beautifully diverse tapestry of American roots music. For them the music is wholly American\, freely expressing their own identities while at the same time addressing the hate\, discrimination\, anti-semitism and racism that still remains at large in America and the World today. \nThe band has recorded and shared the stage with Sam Bush\, Jerry Douglas\, Bryan Sutton\, John Doyle\, Noam Pikelny (Punch Brothers)\, Mark Schatz (Bèla Fleck\, Nickel Creek)\, Mike Gordon (Phish) and Tony Trischka among others. The Troubadours along with their band continue to forge new paths in unknown territory\, armed with Zasloff and Lindberg’s strong\, smokey\, and folksy vocals and Lindberg’s soulful and masterful skills on guitars and banjo alike. In 2021 they made their debut at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville\, TN and in recent years have performed various Festivals\, PACs\, and countless venues including Mountain Stage\, Merlefest\, Wintergrass\, Ossipee Valley\, Kaw River Roots\, Thomas Point Bluegrass and more. Through the years Nefesh Mountain has officially showcased and been a proud member of AmericanaFest\, Folk Alliance\, and the IBMA. \nThe latest album from Nefesh Mountain\, Beacons emerged from a bold and wholehearted attempt to transform the world around them. Soon after wrapping up a whirlwind tour booked with the mission of spreading their newfound message of radical love\, co-founders Doni Zasloff and Eric Lindberg immersed themselves in the feverish writing of songs that turned their frustrations and fears into irrepressible hope\, all while reaching far beyond their bluegrass roots and forging a fiercely joyful sound unbound by genre convention. By the time they’d completed that process of musical alchemy\, the New York-based husband-and-wife duo had profoundly refined the band’s vision and voice and arrived at the unfettered radiance of Beacons: an epic double album affirming Nefesh Mountain as a singular musical force—one whose deeply impassioned songwriting awakens us to new ways of navigating an endlessly troubled world. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. Love & Special Sauce is an American Hip-Hop Blues band known for its unique fusion of hip-hop\, blues\, funk\, and soul. Formed in 1993 in Philadelphia\, Pennsylvania\, the band originally featured Garrett Dutton\, aka G. Love\, as the lead vocalist and guitarist\, Jeffrey Clemens on drums\, and Jim Prescott on bass. The trio quickly gained attention for their laid-back\, groovy style and G. Love’s unique vocal delivery\, blending rap-like spoken word with bluesy singing.  \nTheir debut self-titled album\, G. Love & Special Sauce\, was released in 1994 on Epic Records and included the hit single “Cold Beverage\,” which became popular on alternative radio stations and MTV\, solidifying their presence in the music scene. The band’s style has been described as a mix of “slacker blues” and “alternative hip-hop\,” as they frequently incorporate elements of 90s hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms.  \nOver the years\, G. Love & Special Sauce has released numerous albums\, including Coast to Coast Motel (1995)\, Yeah\, It’s That Easy (1997)\, The Electric Mile (2001) and the GRAMMY nominated The Juice (2020). Their sound evolved to include more soul\, R&B\, and rock influences\, though they retained their laid-back vibe and clever lyrical play. Their 2014 album Sugar saw a reunion of the original lineup after several years\, and they continued to tour and produce music with a loyal fan base.  \nKnown for their energetic live performances\, G. Love & Special Sauce has played at festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. Garrett Dutton also frequently collaborates with other artists\, including Jack Johnson\, with whom he shares a similar vibe\, and has released solo projects that dive deeper into his blues influences. G. Love & Special Sauce remains a beloved name in the music scene\, blending genres in a way that feels fresh and authentic. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nHeadliner: The Mike Conrad TrioSupporting Act: Q.C. Standard \n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nMike Conrad\, a Quad City native\, currently Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Iowa\, brings his jazz trio to the Redstone Room for a special night celebrating the release of the group’s second album\, Pretzel Letters. Conrad’s compositions have earned him four ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards\, a SONIC Award from the International Society of Jazz Arrangers & Composers\, the 2023 Sammy Nestico Award\, and many other accolades. This newest project is made up of pieces inspired by his family and memories from a childhood growing up in Iowa. As a pianist he performs regionally with Chris Merz’s ‘Shorter Stories\,’ the Jon Ailabouni Quintet\, Jackson Churchill’s ‘Good Question\,’ and the Iowa Jazz Composers Orchestra\, an ensemble he founded in 2019. \nConrad is joined by Cassius Goens III\, a drummer from Indianapolis who has toured throughout the Midwest\, New York\, Brazil\, and Europe where he performed at the Montreux\, Vienne\, and Perugia Jazz Festivals. Goens and Conrad have been making music together for about 15 years. \nFilling in for Chicago bassist Katie Ernst is Drew Morton\, another Quad City native and long-time collaborator of Conrad’s. Drew is an incredibly creative and versatile artist\, having performed and recorded extensively with groups like Jack Lion and Christopher’s Very Happy Band\, while exploring visual landscapes in the world of digital art as well. \nThe Mike Conrad Trio has appeared throughout the Midwest\, having won a Jazz Road Tours grant in 2023 after recording their debut album\, Reconnect (Sky Deck Music). They performed at the 2022 Iowa City Jazz Festival and will be returning to the festival as headliners on July 5th\, 2025. In this dynamic group\, the unique musical personality of each player shines through while somehow simultaneously uniting to create a cohesive and exciting sound. Conrad’s tunes are engaging and well-crafted with tons of space for improvisation\, interaction\, and expression.  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Sinkane
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Prog Rock / Funk / Sudanese Pop \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $15 in advance / $18 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nHeadliner: SinkaneSupporting Artist: CJ Parker \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTIST \nWe Belong is the eighth studio album from Sinkane\, a band led by multi-instrumentalist Ahmed Gallab. And like much of Sinkane’s previous releases\, it resists genre. It’s pop. It’s funk. It’s electronic. It blends the gritty punk newness of a 70s and 80s New York with the steady\, foundational soul of the rhythms of his native Sudan. Though We Belong comes deep into the catalog of a long career\, it also resists stagnation. It moves and travels—through words and eras\, through emotion and healing. Gallab calls this album his “love letter to Black music\,” and each track pulses with the energy of different eras and forms: the gospel-soaked “Everything Is Everything\,” the dreamy\, Quiet Storm-influenced Afro-beats of “Rise Above\,” the 70s-funk of “We Belong” and its Sly Stone influence\, the Stevie Wonder-edged “Another Day”—they tell a story about Black music and Black people. \nThe album itself also reveals Gallab’s desire to create a work that not only reflected a community\, but was made by one\, too. We Belong assembles this community\, makes it visible\, to anyone willing to see\, to hear\, to feel. Gallab and Amanda Khiri\, co-lyricist on most of the songs\, passed notes across the digital divide. Audre Lorde\, Toni Morrison\, Ismael Reed\, scraps of poetry. The pair turned these late-night ideas into fully realized compositions. Casey Benjamin\, a multi-instrumentalist who has worked with jazz pianist Robert Glasper\, left his touch on several tracks. Jazz trumpeter Kenyatta Beasley soared across three songs. Soul singer Bilal lent his voice. Rising artists like vocalists Ifedayo Gatling\, of the Harlem Gospel Travelers\, Tru Osbourne\, Hollie Cook\, and STOUT\, joined this community as well. \nWhat had long been a solo endeavor by Gallab\, suddenly became a collaborative experience. “Having all these people at my disposal [meant] I could actually be a producer\,” he says. “I could zoom out a little bit and see what serves the song best? How can I make this better? Having a community around me really just allowed this to turn into something bigger than I could have ever imagined.” \nThe result is an album that showcases freedom\, in all its forms. Freedom to create\, to move\, to love\, to live. The we of the title is all of us. All of us who have lost and found community. All of us who have reached into the past to find our future. And ultimately\, it is the sound of an artist finding his way back to himself by stretching beyond himself. “In making this album\, I realized very quickly that I got a lot of freedom in not making it about myself\,” Gallab says. “I realized I’m more than just me\, there’s all of us\, all of us together. It’s much more about community and much more about connecting with other people. But maybe\, that’s how I’ve kind of come to find myself.” \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:Davina and the Vagabonds
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Jazz/Blues \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pmTickets: $20 in advance / $25 at the door  \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.Age Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \n \nHeadliner: Davina and the VagabondsSupporting Act: Mo & Co \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \n“Davina Sowers creates her own Americana mishmash — a little Amy Winehouse-worthy neo-soul here\, a little Great American Songbook-influenced songcraft there.” – Rolling Stone Magazine \n“Davina and the Vagabonds combat heartache with sugar and sass.” – Downbeat Magazine  \nDavina Sowers and the Vagabonds have created a stir on the national music scene with their high-energy live shows\, level A musicianship\, sharp-dressed professionalism\, and Sowers’ commanding stage presence. With influences ranging from Fats Domino and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band to Aretha Franklin and Tom Waits\, the band is converting audiences one show at a time\, from Vancouver to Miami and across Europe.  \nMuch like the music\, the story spurns era\, expectation\, and classification. The often unbelievable\, sometimes harrowing\, and wholly inspiring journey of Davina Sowers gave birth to her eponymous band Davina and The Vagabonds in 2004. As the tale goes\, she grew up in the economically depressed Allegheny town of Altoona\, PA\, which she now describes as “awesome in the industrial era\, but horrible for high school.” She was adopted by her much older stepfather when he was in his 80s; he passed away when she was just 13. Through him and his Edison phonograph\, she first heard The Ink Spots\, Sidney Bechet\, Louis Armstrong and Louis Prima\, Sister Rosetta Tharpe\, and many others. “Great man. He was my angel and still is\,” she says.  \nOn her own\, she vividly recalls hours in front of the record player where she religiously spun Led Zeppelin\, Black Sabbath\, and Simon and Garfunkel records belonging to her folk singer mom. \nTo this day\, Davina still refers to music as “my first and eternal love.” Despite early dalliances with classical piano and guitar\, she developed a heavy drug habit in high school\, which morphed into heroin dependency\, left her homeless\, sent her in and out of jail\, and brought on all manner of trouble. Kicking dope on the streets\, she “got clean\, started the band\, and worked [her] ass off every day since.” \nDavina and the Vagabonds shine every time they play. To date\, they’ve performed in forty-five states\, twelve European countries\, and two Canadian provinces. Not to mention\, they’ve earned feverish acclaim from the Chicago Tribune\, NPR\, and more in addition to performing on BBC’s international favorite late-night program Later… With Jools Holland and appearing on PBS’s Bluegrass Underground. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online. SUMMARY:The Pat Travers Band
DESCRIPTION:Genre: Rock \nDoors: 7:00pm / Show: 8:00pm\nTickets: $30 in advance / $35 at the door \nSeating: General admission. No guaranteed seating. Table reservations available.\nAge Restriction: All Ages (Under 19 must be accompanied by an adult) \nHeadliner: The Pat Travers Band\nSupporting Act: Mercury’s Crown from QC Rock Academy \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \nABOUT THE ARTISTS \nPat Travers- Guitar & Vocals\nDavid Pastorius- Bass\nAlex Petrosky- Drums \nPat Travers was born and raised in Toronto\, Ontario. Soon after picking up the guitar at age 12\, he saw Jimi Hendrix perform in Ottawa. Travers began playing in bands early in his teens; his first bands were the Music Machine (not to be confused with the Californian psychedelic/garage band of the same name)\, Red Hot\, and Merge\, which played in clubs in the Quebec area. \nWhile performing with Merge\, he was noticed by rock artist Ronnie Hawkins\, who invited Travers to perform with him. In his early twenties Travers moved to London and signed a recording contract with the Polydor label.[2] His self-titled debut album was released in 1976\, and featured bassist Peter “Mars” Cowling\, who would become a mainstay in Travers’ band for several years.[2] An appearance on the German TV show Rockpalast in November 1976 was later released on DVD under the title Hooked on Music. This performance showcases an early version of Travers’ band featuring Cowling and drummer. \nDuring 1977\, Travers added a second guitarist to his band\, changed drummers twice including using Clive Edwards\, and by the time Heat in the Street was released in 1978 had put together the Pat Travers Band.[2] This grouping featured Travers on vocals and guitar\, Pat Thrall on guitar\, Cowling on bass\, and Tommy Aldridge on drums and percussion.[2] The band toured heavily\, also supporting Rush on their Drive til You Die tour in support of A Farewell to Kings. \nThe guitar Travers most often appeared with on stage and on album covers in the band’s early years was a 1964/65 model double cutaway\, double [humbucker] pickup Gibson Melody Maker. \nThe band’s next release was a live album entitled Live! Go for What You Know\, which charted in the Top 40 in the United States and included the tune “Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights)” (originally recorded by Little Walter\, credited to Stan Lewis)\, which climbed even higher on the charts\, entering the Top 20. “Snortin’ Whiskey” was a major American radio hit from 1980’s Crash and Burn. \nAfter an appearance before 35\,000 people at the Reading Music Festival in England\, both Thrall and Aldridge announced they were leaving the band to pursue other projects.[2] Travers and Cowling teamed up with drummer Sandy Gennaro and released Radio Active[2] that same year.\nA co-headlining tour with Rainbow followed\, and the two bands performed in major arenas across North America. Although the tour was Travers’ most successful road outing\, the Radio Active album barely made it into the Top 40\, reaching only number 37. \nIt was much different than Travers’ previous work\, with more emphasis on keyboards than heavy guitars. Disappointed with the lack of sales\, Polydor dropped Travers from their roster\, and he in turn sued the record company on grounds that he was under contract with them to record more material. He won the lawsuit\, and was able to release Black Pearl in 1982. \nThis release also featured more mainstream music rather than the hard-driving rock Travers had recorded earlier\, and included the hit single “I La La La Love You”\, featured prominently on mainstream Top 40 and album oriented rock stations\, and in the 1983 movie Valley Girl. Hot Shot was Travers’ last major label release of original music\, and was a return to a harder-edge style of rock than his previous two albums had been. One of Travers’ best-recorded projects\, it went basically unnoticed and is best remembered for the single “Killer”. It was during this time that Travers also released Just Another Killer Day\, a 30-minute home video featuring music from Hot Shot that was a sci-fi type short story about sexy alien women searching for information on music here on earth. In 1984\, Travers was again supporting Rush. Alex Lifeson is one of Travers’ many admirers. \nAfter Hot Shot’s release in 1984\, Polydor made plans to issue a greatest hits package\, and then ended their relationship with Travers. By 1990\, he had gained a deal with a small European label and released School of Hard Knocks. \nThe project was completely ignored by radio. A full-length concert video Boom Boom – Live at the Diamond Club 1990 was shot in Toronto to be released in audio version as CD Boom Boom next year\, but Travers was still not able to return to the success he had ten years earlier\, working only on indie labels\, as with Lemon Recordings. \nShortly after\, Travers signed a deal with American-based Blues Bureau International Records\, a company formed by noted producer Mike Varney. Travers’ first recording for the label was Blues Tracks released in 1992. It earned positive reviews from critics. Several more releases on the BBI label followed during the 1990s. In 1993\, Travers parted company with both Jerry Riggs and Peter “Mars” Cowling\, and Riggs was briefly replaced by former Foghat guitarist Erik Cartwright. The relationship was brief\, and Travers has worked with a variety of musicians since that time. \nTravers has not been able to regain the level of commercial success he once had\, despite a large and loyal fan base who call themselves “Hammer Heads”. He tours regularly in the U.S. and has made several trips to Europe in the last decade as well. In 2001 he was part of the “Voices of Classic Rock” tour\, and had a minor hit with Leslie West from the band Mountain called “Rock Forever”. In 2004 he started a project with the veteran drummer Carmine Appice and started touring the U.S.; as of now there are 3 albums released. Travers recorded cover tunes from bands such as Led Zeppelin\, Montrose\, Queen\, and Trapeze under the album name P.T. Power Trio 2\, and they toured Europe in November 2006. \nTravers has lived in central Florida for several years\, and is now married with two children. Travers is also a Black Belt in the style of Isshin Ryu Karate\, and currently trains with 10 time World Champion\, Mike Reeves Sensei in Apopka\, Florida. \nFrom 2008-2016\, was one of the longest/most consistent line ups for Pat Travers Band. Joining Pat was Kirk McKim (2006-2015)(Guitar/Vocals)\, Sean Shannon (2008-2010)(Drums)\, followed by Sandy Gennaro (2010-2016)\, and Rodney O’Quinn (2007-2016)(Bass/Vocals) Viewed as the “Must See Line up” for all die hard PTB fans\, they never disappointed! From the smoking appearance on Bob Coburn’s Rockline Radio show\, to the Moondance Jam show that aired on Direct TV’s “Audience” channel. The Pat Travers Band put out the album “Fidelis” in late 2009. \nIn July 2013\, The Pat Travers Band put out new album “CAN DO” released by Frontiers Records\, a major label based in Italy for numerous artists in the field of classic rock. The CAN DO album was supported by PTB tours of the U.S.\, the U.K.\, and Europe during the later half of 2013. In January 2015\, Frontiers Records released Pat Travers Band Live at the Iridium NYC\, recorded in February 2012\, which showed how deadly this line up was. Also featured Jon Paris playing blues harp on “If I Had Possession Over Judgment Day” and “Spoonful”. \nTravers sang on Boston metal band Extreme’s “Get the Funk Out” on their 1990 album Pornograffitti. Paul Gilbert has referred to Travers as a “guitar god”[6]\, and Kirk Hammett of Metallica has cited him as one of his favorite guitar players. Vito Bratta White Lion has stated Pat Travers is an influence to his soloing. \nThe Pat Travers Band (PTB) currently consists of Pat Travers (guitars\, vocals\, keyboards)\, drummer Alex Petrosky and David Pastorius (bass/vocals) who have been together for the last several years\, and recorded two studio albums together. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COMMON CHORD POLICIES: \nTICKETS: Advance tickets are only available online.
