The Community Jam Session will celebrate the Quad Cities’ diverse and strong music scene as we band together for the love of music and community! The first-of-its-kind in the Quad Cities, we are inviting everyone (from beginner to pro) to come participate in ONE massive community jam session. Whether you play guitar, drums, bass, flute, cello, spoons, didgeridoo, vocals in the car or shower, or feel like slapping a log… you’ll be an important part of the biggest participatory music-making event in QC history!!!

Unlike a concert, this is a true mega-jam session – where YOU play an important role in the band! Taking place in the parking lot of the Freight House along downtown Davenport’s beautiful riverfront, this is a free community event where all people, all instruments, and all skill levels are welcome.

From beginners to seasoned road warriors, you’re guaranteed to have a good time, and make new friends! Even if you don’t want to join in the music-making, there will be plenty of space to observe the show.

This event will feature food trucks from the Farmer’s Market, drinks from the Front Street Tap Room, and food by Chill Eats and more. Come early for music activities for the little ones, including recycled instrument making and an instrument petting zoo. Don’t forget to pick up your very own kazoo to start your musical journey!

Special thanks to our partners the Riverfront Improvement Commission and the Freight House Farmers’ Market, to Supporting Sponsors Downtown Davenport Partnership and Rexroat Sound, and to Community Sponsors West Music, Russell Construction, and Dahl Ford.
