ELLIS KELL’S WINTER BLUES MUSIC CAMP
Learn about the roots of American music… the Blues!
Every year during winter break, students learn the forms, styles, and history of one of America’s most important contributions to the world of music. Participants will form bands and spend the week learning and practicing blues songs along with workshops lead by local blues musicians.
Students learn valuable life skills like teamwork, confidence, and self-expression – all while doing something they love.
At the end of the week, they’ll perform for their friends and family in a concert in the Redstone Room!
It’s suggested that musicians already have some experience with their instrument before attending. Most instruction is done in a group format. Camps are open to ages 8-18.
Financial Assistance:
Financial assistance is available! We want every student to be able to participate. To learn more, email Education Manager Ben Schwind at: bschwind@commonchordqc.org.
